David Dongjin Cho, Director of Institute of Korea Studies of William Carey International University received an invitation from North Korea. He visited North Korea and attended the Sunday morning service of Pyong Yang Bong-Soo Church and met leaders of North Korean Christian Federation.

Kim Il Sung university and Kim Hyung Jick Teachers’ College sent invitation to the Presidents of William Carey International University. Dr. Dale W. Kietzman and Dr. Charles Wickman visited North Korea with Dr. David Dongjin Cho.

Again, North Korean Christian Federation invited David Dongjin Cho and he was able to visit North Korea as third time. The Pyong Yang Seminary appointed David Dongjin Cho as Visiting Professor.

David Dongjin Cho visited President Jimmy Carter with Mr. Shi Hae Han, former North Korean Ambassador to UN, and his assistants. Mr. Han gave North Korean President Kim Il Sung’s invitation to Pyong Yang to President Jimmy Carter.

David Dongjin Cho visited as fourth visit to Pyong Yang by the invitation of Kim Il Sung University and lectured at the university as a Visiting Professor and Pyong Yang Seminary.

Through the cooperation of Dr. Jong Koo Park of Korea Christian Publishers Association, 2,517 volumns of Christian books were donated to the Kim Il Sung University. David Dongjin Cho was able to have fifth visit to Pyong Yang with the donated books. The official ceremony was held for the donation of Christian books to the library of Kim Il Sung University and Dr. Cho’s special lecture was delievered to over hundreds of professors of the university. He also preached at Bong-Soo Church on Sunday. Hw was invited to the Presidential Palace of Kim Il Sung. The Chairman Kim Il Sung received him and his wife very warmly and had one-hour talks and offered welcome lunch for him. Kim Il Sungs’s highest officials joined together.

David Dongjin Cho made his sixth trip to North Korea with two Vice-President, Dr. Dalw W. Kietzman and Charles A. Wickman, and lectured at the Kim Il Sung University and preached at Bong-Soo Church, Pyong Yang.

Mission to North Korea Committee of the General Assembly of Presbyterian Church of Korea appointed Dr. David Dongjin Cho as the Chief Consultant to contact North Korean government.

David Dongjin Cho made his seventh visit to Pyong Yang and preached at Bong-Soo Church & Chil-Gol Church. He was again invited to the Presidential Palace of Chairman, Kim Il Sung. Kim Il Sung expressed condolence on Dr. Cho’s wife’s death last year. They had a long discussion for the nomalization of relationship with the United States and unification with South Korea.

David Dongjin Cho made the eighth visit to Pyong Yang. After the Resurrection Sunday Service sermon at Bong-Soo Church, he visited Kim Il Sung and attended a grand party of the national leaders for the diplomats of many countries to celebrate his birthday. David Dongjin Cho joined at the head table and set with Kim Il Sung.

Four representatives, Dr. David Dongjin Cho, Dr. Charles Wickman, Mr. Michael Little, and Dan Wooding, visited Pyong Yang. It was the ninth visit. They discussed with North Korean high officers to find the way of normalization of United States and North Korea relationship.

The Inaugural Convention and the first National Rally of the Ezra Project was held at the Education Culture Center of Seoul with over 1,500 delegates.

David Dongjin Cho made the tenth visit to Pyong Yang, North Korea. He invited Mr. Jong Huck Lee, Vice Chairman of Asia Pacific Peace Commission of North Korea, to the United States by the name of the Institute of Korea Studies, William Carey International University. Mr. Lee came to the States with three assistants and met Dr. Pet Robertson, and visited New York, Washington D.C., Chicago and California and met many American Christian leaders . They also visited Korean churches in the States between February 20 to March 7, 1995.
