David Dongjin Cho, after study of world mission at the Asbury Theological Seminary and earned Th. M., returned to Seoul, Korea. He started the lecture on Christian Mission at the Presbyterian General Assembly Seminaryin 1961. This was the beginning of mission study at the theological seminaries in Korea.

David Dongjin Cho formed the mission committee at Hoo-Am Presbyterian Church which he was ministering. This was the first local church mission committee.
January 1965
David Dongjin Cho was elected as the Chairman of Organizing Committee of the National Evangelization Campaign of Korea. The concluding rally was held at his Hoo-Am Presbyterian Church which he was ministering, and quickening idea od establishment of Korea International Mission was conceived in his heart.
September 1966
David Dongjin Cho attended the All Asian Evangelism Conference in Tokyo, Japan as the head of 12 delegates of Korean Church. After return from the conference, all the Korean participants gathered together and formed Ad Hoc Committee of establishment of Korea International Mission and elected Jae-Shin Suh as the Chairman and David Dongjin Cho as the General Secretaty.
October 1966
David Dongjin Cho attended to the Berlin Congress of World Evangelism with 9 other Korean delegates. He made extended trip to the United States to visit major evanggelical mission agencies and collected needed reference documents and materials of mission operation to prepare the establishment of Korea International Mission.
July 1967
David Dongjin Cho established ‘Christian Herald Press’ and began to publush books for missions and evangelism.

Chun Il Cho was elected as coming President of KIM/International and Dr. Young Jae Lee was elected as Vice Presidnet of KIM/International, and Dr. Eun Moo Lee was appointed as the Executive Director as elected among the field missionaries. They would take place the positions from 1993.
